Wellesley House, Ltd. are direct importers of extraordinary 18th & 19th century English antiques. Wellesley House was founded in 1994 by Kelly & Andrew Vogel with the concept of providing museum quality heirloom antiques. Their interest in English antiques evolved through the family's exposure to London and all things English subsequent to their move to England in 1982. Twenty five years of scouring England has yielded comprehensive collections of exquisite period furniture, rare maps, important Georgian brass candlesticks and objet d'art. This passion has blossomed into a thriving business which enjoys a nationwide reputation for procuring unique museum quality antiques for every budget. They have found a wide range of stunning pieces over the years; from a Georgian breakfront bookcase for a modern high rise condominium, a rare convertible snooker/dining table for a corporate board room to a Victorian collector’s cabinet for a well appointed yacht.
The name Wellesley House was gleaned from their London abode on Sloane Square in Chelsea, where the family was based for almost a decade. The company is privately held and run by the owner from our headquarters in Lake Forest, Illinois. We now offer an extensive selection of extraordinary 18th & 19th century English furniture and other decorative antiques.
